About Us: Reach Jiu Jitsu
Reach Jiu Jitsu is a ministry of our church, created to serve boys and men across Prince Edward County through the discipline, community, and mentorship of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We believe God calls His people to build one another up, strengthen the weak, encourage the discouraged, and offer a place of belonging to those who need it most. Our mats are one of the ways we live that out.
We offer free classes for boys ages 9–12, teens and adults. Each session combines physical training with character formation—teaching humility, perseverance, respect, and self‑control. Our coaches aim to model Christlike leadership, creating an environment where every student is seen, challenged, and supported.
Reach Jiu Jitsu exists especially for families who need a positive outlet for their sons: a safe place to grow, a structured activity that builds discipline, and strong male role models who care deeply about their development. Whether a boy is full of energy, struggling to find direction, or simply looking for a healthy challenge, we welcome him with open arms.
Our weekly rhythm includes Tuesday evening classes, Saturday morning classes, and an open mat afterward where anyone from the community can train with us. Through training, mentorship, and fellowship, we hope to see young men grow not only in skill and confidence but also in character, purpose, and faith.
Our prayer is simple: that God would use Reach Jiu Jitsu to strengthen families, build friendships, and raise up young men who know their worth, understand discipline, and walk with courage.
